Engage in Community

We show God’s love through engaging the world, both locally and globally. We serve the community in various ways coming alongside them in specific areas of need and interest.

Hurricane Ida Recovery Assistance

Somerset County, especially the towns of Manville and Somerville, was hit extremely hard by Hurricane Ida. There are numerous ways to assist the community. Would you consider donating your time and/or resources to engage the world in this way?

Clean-up crews are being formed for Saturday, September 25. All ages are welcome for as much or as little time as can be given! Sign up here.

The Manville PTA is collecting donations for residents. A list can be found here. Items may be dropped off at the church office during business hours or in the collection bin in the atrium. The Relief Center set up by the Manville PTA is looking for volunteers to staff the center. Sign up here!

A special fund has been set up to assist those affected by the storm (100% of funds will go directly to residents in the forms of food, supplies, gift cards for basic needs, and replacement household items). You can give through the Giving page, Pushpay, or by check by mail or in the offering boxes in the sanctuary (made payable to Stone Hill Church). All donations should be designated as “Hurricane Ida Relief Fund”.

Question regarding the service and donation efforts should be directed to Amelia Neumann or Jennifer Orlando.

The Stone Hill Koinonia Team exists to strengthen the unity of the church body under the headship of Jesus Christ, while embracing racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and other diversity.
